*Lumix GX9, death of the GX line?

Hey everyone!  Look, the opinions are pretty polarized in regard to Panasonic’s newest m4/3 camera, and I feel that both sides are right.  On one side, we have those of us that are excited to see the form factor shrink a little bit with the cost coming down to a remarkably reasonable level.  On the other side, we have those of us that are lamenting the lack of ergonomics, weather sealing, fully functional, high spec EVF and general feel that the GX8 has been downgraded.  

As someone who has owned every GX model made (less the GX80/85 which I have shot with fairly extensively, however) I do feel I’m in a position to throw my opinion around a bit.  Not that you have to agree, nor even listen, but here’s what I think…

I was a giddy fan when Glow was originally released, and it provided me with a true (and superior) alternative to Fractalius, being a Mac user.  So much so, that my original article Fractalius for Mac needed to be updated to replace my designed effect through Topaz Clean 3, to Topaz Glow to replicate the effect for us Mac OS users.  Since then, I’ve had a ton of fun with Glow, and find even more pleasure using the free update in Glow 2.

What can one add when it’s all been said before, other than to perhaps reiterate how much they enjoy a perfect harmony of fashion, function and execution.

I’ve been a long time user of Alien Skin’s Exposure software.  Of all the film simulation programs I’ve used, none has suited me, my style or my workflow better than Exposure has.  Whenever I shoot events, or any personal project series, it has always been my go to program for a replicated filter allowing me to quickly and easily tailor fit and create a variety of final looks.
